I was in a car accident 6 years ago (my aunt was my life and she had passed not too long before.)
We were driving a 89 Chevy Blazer and hauling a tractor from KY to Alabama, when an undercurrent of air took the trailor which had blown 2 tires and jack-knifed and raised the truck also. What should have been a total disaster was a miracle.
While we were tossing around like a rag doll the song "Angels Amoung Us" was playing after the truck got settled and we got out I made the comment I don't know how we made it.
My son was 10 he made the comment that he knew we were OK because there was a white shawdow beside him in the back seat and he knew it was Aunt Hattie.
My Angel is gone but she is still with us and will keep us safe.
When I die, I want this song played at my funeral, because I want everyone to know that as it says in the song, in our time of need, an angel/angels will be there for us. We just have to believe and hope that angels exist. I actually know this song word for word and like it, even though I personally despise country music in general. The night before my best friend's funeral, I received a phone call asking if I would sing this song, because it would have been a welcome comfort to hear my voice; so, when I die, I want this song played at my funeral as well.
