My son has been gone for 13 years now. Someone gave this poem after he passed and I put it up on my board at work and to this day it is still there. In the beginning I read it everyday and would wipe away the tears but felt comfort knowing that he was just on another part of life.
Thank you for this it has meant so much to me.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. McIlvaaine,
by: - STC neighbor #2-

I new your son Nathan but did not have the honor of meeting Cory. My prayers and deepest thoughts are with you. I have several friends who were very close to Cory and say the most wonderful things about your son. During this hard time I wanted to share this poem with you that always comforts me during such hard times. Please take care and lean on those around you. Again, my very very deepest sympathy to you...

Don't think of him
as gone away-
his journey has just begun
life holds so many facets-
this earth is only one...

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost-
and he was loved so much.

-E. Brenneman

Rest in Peace Cory:)
