God Saw That She Was Getting Tired

Hi I found this poem online while looking for something that captured my gran & I swear I think someone wrote it for us. Its called '' God saw that she was getting tired'' & its not known who wrote it.

God saw that she was getting tired,
A cure was not to be.
So he put His arms around her
And whispered, ''Come with Me.''
With tearful eyes, we watched her suffer.
And saw her fade away.
Although we loved her dearly,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating.
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes ''the best''

I hope that this poem could be as meaningful to others as it was to my family

Frances and Kathleen Coelho - authors God Saw You Getting Tired
by: Kathleen Coelho

HI, This was written in 1939 by Frances M. Coelho for her mother, Frances Medeiros. She took it out again on the 1st anniversary of my father's death. I got to change 1-1/2 lines, so she wanted my name on the copyright too. I loved that. Because so many people were taking credit for the the authorship, luckily, Mom had the forethought to do a poor man's copyright, back in 1939! That is the only reason she was able to get this copyright - a postal stamp with the date on the unopened envelope. The Copyright of this poem belongs to Frances and Kathleen Coelho.

My mum died recently, the pain and agony of losing a loved one was just too much. I feel so much pain and my heart aches, I was so afraid that things will never be the same again. I seek to find words to comfort and remind me that she is in a better place and i came across this poem.

After reading this poem over and over again, I knew God has sent a message that will heal my heart.

Thank you and God bless.
