Look For Me In Rainbows - Vicky Brown

by Kimberley
(Tiel, Gelderland, the Netherlands)

This is song was played at a funeral of someone who I personally didn't know too well, but this song made me realize that his death was a great loss to those who did know him well and were left behind.

Time for me to go now, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky.
In the morning sunrise when all the world is new,
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky.
In the evening sunset, when all the world is through,
Just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you.

It won't be forever, the day will come and then
My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again.

Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky.
Every waking moment, and all your whole life through
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Just wish me to be near you,
And I'll be there with you.

My Sister and I stood up in church and said this as a poem at our Mums funeral a couple of weeks ago. The sentiment and words are really special to us and our Mum will be in our hearts for ever, we love and miss you every day, but be happy and guide us xxxxxx

My parents
by: Sylvia Bober

I read this poem at my father's funeral; my father passed away July 15th. I was looking up poems to read for the memorial service; I came across this one I read it, so I picked this one out.. I no longer have my parents but they're in my heart; my mother passed away in Oct 2007 both are happy together along with my older brother and sister. I was going to use this to put in a picture frame with my parent's picture; I didn't realize this was a song! Right as I sit here typing, there is sadness. Monday would had been my father's birthday - 86 yrs old. The song says it all... One day I shall see my parents in the rainbows far and beyond. God Bless.

My mum chose this for my dads funeral in April. I look for rainbows every day. A double rainbow could be seen in their recent wedding anniversary. It was comforting for us to think to think it was a sign he was there with us in spirit. We miss him so much. God bless. X

Your poem
by: Brenda

Your poem was read out at my Mum's funeral recently, it was very touching and heart warming to think that after all our sadness we will always be able to smile when ever a rainbow is in the sky. We will always fondly remember our Mum, but it will always remind us that she is up there smiling back at us. Many thanks for your poem, I cannot express our thanks for your wonderfull words. brendadixon@o2.co.uk
