Cryin For Me (Wayman’s Song) by Toby Keith

What do you think?
Cryin' For Me (Wayman's song) by Toby Keith

We played this song for a friend of ours that died unexpectedly of a medication overdose this year. Everyone knew that it was a great song the moment that it came over the speakers. He was a wonderful person and will always be missed. We love you Joey-R.I.P.

Lyrics

Got the news on Friday mornin’
But a tear I couldn’t find
You showed me how I’m supposed to live
And now you showed me how to die
I was lost till Sunday morning
I work up to face my fear
While writing you this goodbye song
I found a tear
I’m gonna miss that smile
I’m gonna miss you my
Even though it hurts the way it ended up
I’d do it all again
So play it sweet in heaven
‘Cause That’s right where you want to be
I’m not cryin’ cause I feel so sorry for you
I’m cryin’ for me
I got up and dialed your number
And your voice came on the line
With that old familiar message
I’d heard a thousand times it just said
Sorry that I missed you
Leave a message and god bless
I know you think I’m crazy
But I had to hear your voice again
I’m gonna miss that smile
I’m gonna miss you my friend

Even though it hurts the way it ended up
I’d do it all again
So play it sweet in heaven
‘Cause That’s right where you want to be
I’m not cryin’ cause I feel so sorry for you
I’m cryin’ for me
So play your upside down left handed
Backwards bass guitar
And I’ll see you on the other side
Superstar
I’m gonna miss that smile
I’m gonna miss you my friend
Even though it hurts the way it ended up
I’d do it all again
So play it sweet in heaven
‘Cause That’s right where you want to be
I’m not cryin’ cause I feel so sorry for you
I’m cryin’ for me
I’m still cryin’
I’m cryin’ for me
I’m still cryin’

Cryin for me
by: Matt Bliga

This was played at a funeral service I went to for a family friend. It was written for a friend of Toby’s – Wayman Tisdale, a former NBA player turned jazz musician. He committed suicide and this was a tribute. There was not a dry eye in the house.

 I’m crying for me
by: Andrea

I lost my husband 8 weeks ago from a heart attack.

Someone else picked that song for his funeral and when it played it matched everything I was feeling.

He passed on a Friday and Sunday would have been his 32nd birthday. But the song is an honest song because I don’t cry for him because I know in my heart that he is no longer in physical pain And when I cry, I cry for me because I’m the one who is left here with all the questions of why.

I cry for me because I will never be able to wake up in the morning and see his face first thing. I will never be able to hear here him tell me how much he loves me which he did constantly.

I will never be able to see him walk in the door, exhausted from working hard and I will never be able to take his work boots off so he can relax. A lot of reasons to make me cry for me.
