When Conrad Sewell was in the process of writing the song “Remind Me” he envisioned a gospel style song that was radio friendly. In an interview he said it was about remembering someone you once loved, whether they are still alive or not. It was also inspired by an ex-girlfriend.
Lyrics
Please lay a little longer
Weight is on my shoulders, holding me down
Some days, it can’t get much darker
Feel it more than ever
When you’re not aroundWhen I think about love, you are right beside me
I think about us, you will always find me
When my heart is lost, I know that you’ll guide me
I think about all the little things that still remind me These days, reflection’s like a strangerYou are so much braver, braver than me
Oh save me, save me from my demons
Teach me to defeat them
And leave me at peaceWhen I think about love, you are right beside me
When I think about us, you will always find me
When my heart is lost, I know that you’ll guide me I think about all the little things that still remind meWhen I’m living like there’s nothing left to lose
When I turn my back on everything I knew
When I settle for the silence in the room
Oh remind me, remind me, remind meRemind me of youSo think about love, and you’re right beside meI think about us, I know that you’ll find me
When my heart gets lost, I know that you’ll guide me
I think about all the little things that still remind me
I think about all the little things that still remind me
All my life you’ll remind me————————————————————Songwriters: David Gibson / Conrad Sewell / Jamie Alexander HartmanRemind Me lyrics © Universal Music Publishing Group, Reservoir Media Management Inc, BMG Rights Management US, LLC
